region and student teachers

Today In class we went over the different types of regions and we also had students come up and teach the class. We started with the definitions of different words like Toponym which is the name given to a place, Site which is the physical character of a place, and situation which is the location of a place relative to other places. We then went over what a Region is which is a unique area of land, it is unique because there is only one in the world and every place is different. When the two students went up to teach it was fun and I thought is was cool to be able to learn from a students stand point and what they knew compared from learning it from a teacher. We all had some good laughs in class and all together we learned more about maps.
